I'm so excited about this mini catalog. There are so many awesome bundles that I just cant get enough of! My favorite? Regency Park! I love the stamps, the designer series paper and everything about it!
During the winter break, I took some time to come up with some really fun card ideas using this set. This set includes the following color scheme: petal pink, sweet sorbet, mango melody, shaded spruce, balmy blue and night of navy. My favorite color is pink so I thought I would create many cards using pink, but not this time. I fell in love with balmy blue. A soft and elegant blue.
My friend asked me to create a card for her daughter's birthday. Her daughter is in her 30's so I wanted to create something fun, clean and beautiful. I've done several cards using the stand up card fold. This one is my favorite.
This card folds flat into an A6 envelope. I love the pop up in the middle. It gives it a nice pop out feel.
For the back, I used the night of navy DSP and a strip of the same DSP used in the front to tie it in. It's not needed but I think it gives something to the card. The stamp "wishing you the happiest of birthdays" used here is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set. Another great stamp set. I'm excited to create more cards using them. I gave plenty of room for my friend to write her own message to her daughter.
It's an easy card to make and i'm sure it brought a smile to her daughter's face!
I created a similar card for my parents wedding anniversary. Here's a short video of how it's made.
Whether you are a beginner or a veteran in cardmaking, I strongly encourage you to try this one!
Now, let's get crafting!
